Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer at Lingawa
- Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices
- Develop robust backend services with NestJS and TypeScript, focusing on scalability and performance.
- Architect and manage deployments on AWS and Google Cloud platforms, optimising for security and efficiency.
- Integrate OpenAI and other machine learning APIs to enhance platform capabilities, including personalisation and gamification features.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the platform.
Role Requirements for the Senior Software Engineer at Lingawa
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript with a solid understanding of modern frontend architectures.
- Extensive experience with NestJS and TypeScript, including RESTful API development.
- Proven experience in developing mobile applications using Flutter.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Google Cloud services; ability to manage and optimise cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with integrating AI and machine learning services, particularly OpenAI APIs.
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in education, language learning, and cultural empowerment.
