Responsibilities of the Smart Contract Engineer at Risk Labs
- Protocol Architecture: Take part in the full lifecycle of protocol upgrades, from initial ideas to final deployment.
- Smart Contracts: Develop smart contract implementations, prioritizing security, simplicity, user-friendliness, and gas optimization.
- Code Review and Mentorship: Collaborate in an open-source setting, reviewing code thoroughly to improve the technical skills of other developers.
- Bots: Develop off-chain code to support protocol interactions, ensuring it is reliable, efficient, and robust.
Key Qualifications for the Smart Contract Engineer at Risk Labs
- Possesses 2+ years of engineering experience within a software development environment, including internships.
- Familiarity with standard engineering practices like sprints and code reviews, along with a professional demeanor, is key.
- Has 1+ years of experience with blockchain projects (including hackathons or personal endeavors) and a strong enthusiasm for blockchain technology, cryptoeconomic protocol design, game theory, or decentralized finance.
- Exhibits exceptional critical thinking abilities, humility, intellectual curiosity, and comfort in acknowledging errors.
- Demonstrates a passion for high-quality software and a strong desire to understand the reasoning and implementation details of their work.
