Responsibilities of the QA Engineer at Payaza Africa

  • Conduct manual testing by creating and running thorough test cases for web and mobile apps to confirm all requirements are satisfied.
  • Perform regression testing to guarantee the stability of existing features after updates.
  • Validate each software release to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium to enhance testing efficiency and scope.
  • Clearly document software defects, verify their fixes, and monitor their progress until resolution.
  • Create detailed test plans that outline clear testing scenarios and strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on quality metrics to offer insights into system stability and the extent of test coverage.
  • Actively engage in Agile processes like sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Key Qualifications for the QA Engineer at Payaza Africa

  • Possesses 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance testing, emphasizing manual, regression, and automation techniques.
  • Proficient in manual testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, and Google Sheets.
  • Experienced with automation testing tools including Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium.
  • Familiar with reporting tools like Google Docs and Confluence.
  • Prior knowledge of digital banking systems or fintech products is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and documentation skills for effective teamwork.
  • Experienced in working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to security testing or familiarity with security practices is a plus.
  • Experience using performance testing tools like JMeter is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation is a plus.
