Responsibilities of the Junior Mobile App Developer at LIAC
- Help find and fix bugs to make the app more reliable and improve user experience.
- Assist in identifying and solving performance problems, like slow loading or memory issues.
- Write code that is efficient and easy to maintain, following industry best practices and internal rules.
- Learn to clearly document code (functions, classes, etc.) to make it easier for others to work on and update in the future.
- Work with designers to build layouts, screens, and interactions that are both useful and look good.
- Use feedback from designers and users to make the app easier and more enjoyable to use.
- Help connect the mobile app to backend services using APIs, managing how data is retrieved, submitted, and how errors are handled.
- Learn how data flows between the app and the backend and how to manage different states (loading, success, error).
- Perform initial unit, functional, and UI tests to ensure the app is stable and performs well.
- Use debugging tools and logs to find and fix problems, with help from mentors or senior developers.
Key Qualifications for the Junior Mobile App Developer at LIAC
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area.
- Possesses a basic understanding of mobile application development for iOS and/or Android.
- Has familiarity with Swift (for iOS) and Java/Kotlin (for Android).
- Exposure to cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter is considered a plus.
- Demonstrates a basic understanding of mobile application development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Has exposure to RESTful APIs and how mobile applications integrate with backend services.
- Shows familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles and their implementation.
- Familiar with version control systems, such as Git.
- Exhibits good problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
