Responsibilities of the Finance Officer at Jake Riley Limited
- Manage the accounts payable function by processing and recording invoices accurately and timely.
- Verify and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Ensure proper coding and authorization of invoices before processing payments.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, address inquiries, and negotiate payment terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding issues to maintain good vendor relationships.
- Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with procurement and receiving departments to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process electronic payments, such as checks, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Generate and analyze reports related to payables for management review.
Role Requirements for the Finance Officer at Jake Riley Limited
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2 years of work experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
