Background
The Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences within the School of Public Health at the University of Ghana announces the availability of TDR Postgraduate scholarship. The scholarship is designed to support students pursuing advanced studies in either a Master’s in Public Health or a Master of Science in Applied Health Social Science.
A core focus of these programs will be on the vital field of Implementation Research (IR). The scholarship opportunity is available for the 2025–2026 academic year, with the programs commencing in September 2025.

Eligibility Requirements for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarships
- The applicant should be a national and resident of an English-speaking country within the WHO African region.
- Must be 37 years of age or younger.
- The applicant should meet the University of Ghana’s standard admission requirements for both international and local graduate students.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language.
- Should be an employee of an academic or research institution, a non-profit organization, or a ministry of health or its affiliated agencies within a low- or middle-income country (LMIC) in the WHO African region.
- Should be able to identify a local supervisor or mentor before the program’s commencement.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and data analysis software.

- Select the appropriate option (either “GHANAIAN APPLICANT” or “INTERNATIONAL APPLICANT”). Then create an account and begin the application. Be sure to select either Master of Public Health or MSc in Applied Health Social Science.
- After completing your application to the University of Ghana, click HERE. Login using your University of Ghana application serial number and pin to apply for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research. You MUST select either Master of Public Health (Social and Behavioral Sciences) or MSc. in Applied Health Social Science.
