The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University aims to deepen inclusive University education and empower 1,000 young people from Africa to make meaningful contributions to national and regional development.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program will support talented young men and women from Sub-Saharan Africa who are facing economic barriers in pursuing university education.
Eligibility Requirements for Mastercard Master Scholarships at Makerere University
- Applicants must have applied for admission to Makerere University’s main campus for the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Completion of an undergraduate education in an African country.
- You should be facing financial hardship.
- Applicants must not be the recipient of any other scholarship.
- You should not be currently pursuing or have completed any Master’s degree studies.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and/or community service involvement.
- You must not be over 35 years of age at the application deadline.
- If you are a refugee or a student with disabilities, you should be under 40 years of age at the application deadline.
- Refugee applicants MUST possess a Refugee Identity card or Family Attestation.
