Responsibilities of the Communications Manager
- Create and put into action complete communication strategies that support the organization’s goals.
- Examine audience insights and trends to customize communication goals and engagement plans.
- Supervise the production of relevant and high-quality content for all company communication channels.
- Manage the timely delivery of all content across every communication channel.
- Guarantee that all company communications are clear, targeted, accurate, and current.
- Maintain a consistent and clear brand voice across all communication platforms.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with media professionals, outlets, journalists, and external stakeholders.
- Manage the creation and upkeep of a database of media contacts.
- Handle press inquiries and ensure prompt responses to all media requests across communication channels.
- Develop internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Work together with other departments on important announcements and updates.
- Create and track performance indicators to measure and assess the impact and effectiveness of communication strategies, goals, and activities.
Role Requirements for the Communications Manager
- Ability to use social media analytics and business page tools effectively.
- Skilled in using communication tools and software, such as Hootsuite, Canva, and Adobe Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or public relations, with at least 3 years in a management position.
- Knowledge of the company’s industry is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of brand management, media relations, and marketing.
- Certifications in communications or media relations are a plus.
- Proficiency in platform analytical tools and people management.
