Background
IMSOGLO is a 2 year Master of Science programme and brings together the expertise of 4 renowned European universities – Ghent University (Belgium), BOKU University (Austria), University of Göttingen (Germany) and Aarhus University (Denmark).
The International Master in Soils and Global Change educates next generation of soil scientists equipping them with the knowledge and skills to understand the chemistry, physics and biology of soils, including their formation and interactions with plants, to measure, monitor and model soil properties and processes in space and time, and to develop and implement climate-smart soil management policies.

Eligibility Requirements for the Erasmus Mundus IMSOGLO Scholarship
- Bachelor degree in pure or applied sciences (e.g. chemistry, biology, geology, physical geography, geo-ecology, civil or agricultural engineering, environmental or agricultural sciences, etc.) or an equivalent level from a recognised university or engineering college.
- The obtained bachelor degree must contain at least 40 ECTS credits or equal in natural sciences, covering at least four of the following disciplines: physics, chemistry, mathematics, ecology, biology, geology, physical geography, environmental sciences and agricultural sciences.
- The grades obtained during the bachelor degree must be very good or excellent (typically top 30% of the student cohort).
- Having obtained one of the listed English Language Test Certificates
Application Documents required for Erasmus Mundus IMSOGLO Scholarship
- A photocopy of passport pages including name, date, place and expiry date
- Copy of bachelor’s degree
- A transcript of study results and grades
- Copy of the English language certificate. Certificate requirement is waived for students who have proof of university level study in an English speaking country.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Two recommendation letters – at least one being written by a member of the faculty from which the student has been or will be graduated.
- Evidence of research or professional experience – (If applicable)
