Role Requirements for the Full Stack Engineer at Newton’s Tree
- A BSc or MA in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years equivalent experience would be essential. Having a Ph.D. focused on AI, machine learning, or healthcare informatics, or extensive experience in these fields would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrating experience in frontend development with React framework and Typescript.
- Expertise in UI/UX principles and tools e.g. CSS, html, Storybook etc. Proficient in server-side languages/frameworks.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and understanding of the tradeoffs of each approach and others.
- Experience with database technologies, both relational like PostgreSQL, and document stores like MongoDB, plus ORM frameworks and tools to interact with these.
- Experience working with data standards in this field (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) would be highly desirable.
- Experience with data analysis libraries and frameworks like Pandas, NumPy, or Spark is advantageous.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks is a plus. Proficiency working with various database technologies (SQL and noSQL), data modelling, and distributed storage systems.
- Essential working knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures, such as encryption, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms; data privacy regulations, such as GDPR.
- Demonstrated skills in cross-functional planning, continuous delivery, testing and automation are essential.
