Background
The France Excellence Eiffel scholarship program is developed by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to allow French higher education institutions to attract the best foreign students in diploma courses at Masters’ and Doctorate/PhD level.
This allows to train the next foreign decision makers, in private and public sectors, in critical studies fields, and boost applications by students from emerging countries at Masters’ level and emerging and industrialized countries at PhD/Doctorate level.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has entrusted Campus France, a public institution responsible for promoting French higher education abroad and welcoming foreign students and researchers to France, with the implementation of the Eiffel call for applications and the management of the stay of the winners.
Benefits of France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship
France Excellence Eiffel scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance of €1,181 (Masters) and €1,800 (PhD) to which is added several services: International transportation, national transportation, insurance, housing searches, cultural activities, etc.
For both elements of the program, tuition fees are not covered by the France Excellence Eiffel program
Eligibility
- Master’s level: the candidate must be 27 years old or less at the time of selection and Doctorate level: the candidate must be 32 years old at the time of selection
- This program is reserved for candidates of foreign nationality. Dual national candidates, one of whose nationalities is French, are not eligible.
- Only applications submitted by French higher education and research institutions are admissible. The latter undertake to enroll the winners in the training for which they were selected.

- It’s up to you to choose the school or university that best fits your plans for studying in France.
- The institution accepts and supports your application for the France Excellence Eiffel scholarship.
- The institution submits your application online via the dedicated Campus France website.
