Background
Liberty Career Academy was established to support individuals in discovering their unique capabilities and equip them with the knowledge and resources required to flourish in their careers. LCA provides training, mentorship, scholarships as well as research & advocacy on related governance and policy issues.
The LCA Scholarship program has 3 major categories
- Adeola Okungbaye Award: This is targeted at students from single parent families (children of widows, widowers) and orphans.
- Merit-Based Award: This scholarship will reward students who’ve gone above and beyond in their studies, helping them continue on their path of success and realize their full potential.
- Gifted Hands Award: This is for students looking to pursue a career as artisans. LCA will provide funds towards the cost of training or purchase of tools and equipment they’ll need for their future careers—whether that’s mechanical tools, sewing machines, or baking ovens

Eligibility
- All candidates will be required and must be able to provide verifiable proof of all academic/non-academic accomplishments and claims made during the screening process. Inability to do so could lead to automatic disqualification.
- You must meet the following General Criteria (Applicable to all Categories)
Academic History: WASSCE + JAMB results. Once enrolled in a post-secondary institution, the most recent CGPA qualifies the candidate for the scholarship.
Nigerian citizen/legal residents from another African country studying or living in Nigeria at the time of the application.
Have a valid government-issued means of identification. If you do not have one, your ID must be supported by the government issued ID of a direct family member
You would be required to submit a 500-word Personal Statement. AI generated statements lead to automatic disqualification.
