The Analyst will work closely with the Founder of Communiqué, providing research, insights, and data-driven support for the Communiqué Newsletter, Communiqué Advisory, and Communiqué Academy.
The Analyst will focus on producing in-depth analysis of Africa’s media and creative economy, helping to shape editorial content, develop industry reports, and contribute to curriculum development for the Academy.
This role involves tracking trends, identifying opportunities for growth, and supporting the overall strategic vision of Communiqué.

Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a research or analyst role, preferably in media, journalism, or the creative economy.
- Strong analytical skills with experience collecting and interpreting data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data.
- Proficiency with data tools like Google Analytics, social media analytics, or other relevant software.
- Interest in Africa’s media industry, creative economy, and global trends.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Strong understanding of Africa’s media and creative economy sectors.
- Capability to collaborate with editorial teams and contribute to content planning.
- Ability to derive actionable insights from data and communicate them effectively.
- Experience working closely with leadership teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy in reports and analysis.
